Greening C&Ds
UWSP has begun its initiative to "Green" the C&D shops on campus. The overall aim is to get all C&Ds on campus to provide more
environmentally, economically and socially sustainable options. An example is trying to get the Engineering coffee shop in CPH to switch from Styrofoam to biodegradable cups for their coffee.
A pilot project has begun with the Science C&D, operating at the entrance to Biology 1. A frequent-coffee buyer program has been initiated to encourage use of travel mugs instead of disposable cups. Further improvements are in the works!
This position will include recruiting volunteers for your committee to go out and connect with the people who run these C+Ds, research the various ways they can green their business and continually updating UWSP on the status of your suggestions.
